Midway Boat ramp where almost 100 shad were caught with two throws of the net!
OK - so what is the PERFECT condition to catch Catfish... I LOVE the early - VERY EARLY - mornings with no wind and hardly no one on the lake... those are great conditions... but, what makes it better... how about great friends - Rick and Sassy. And one more thing - a perfect fishing hole... We caught 23 keepers at 47.11 pounds. That did not include the many we threw back!!!! This spot was about 10 foot deep and had water at 69 degrees. The trees and submerged logs were surrounded by shad and feeding catfish. If Rick and Sassy had not wanted to come back so soon - we would still be out there... Sassy and I will head out tomorrow morning eary and give a full report later in the day...
