Heckman Family Reunion in Salado, TX

BEAUTIFUL SETTING... Salado Creek in Salado, TX. We had a SUPER TIME cooking fish for the Heckmans. They are a great family and Joyce organized a fantastic day for her family. The day could not have been nicer...we cooked fish right on the Salado River. Hope you enjoy the pictures...

It is ALWAYS FUN doing these fish fry's - ESPECIALLY when it is for a GREAT CAUSE - this one is for the Waco Advocacy Center. Leni and I had a great time with these folks - they are VERY SPECIAL and provide a WONDERFUL SERVICE for our community.
This Fish Fry was for a local Church - these people were AWESOME! We had a great time telling fish stories...

Even a slow day is a fun day fishing!!!

It was a VERY SLOW day on Lake Waco! Captain Sas lounged around. Rick and I caught only three keepers and sent them back to tell their friends how nice we are!!! Anyway - tomorrow is a fish fry for a local charity here in Waco. Hopefully, Leni and I will have a few pictures for you!

Somebody has to be in the Captains Chair - why not Sassy? She lead us on a WINDY but successful fishing trip today. We've caught 30 keepers over the past four days... we have pleanty of fish if anyone is needing a fish fry... our next fry is for the Waco Advocacy Center for Crime Victims & Children - this coming Wednesday.

WOW - it is ALWAYS great to see such a BEAUTIFUL gift.

These really are not that big... they are about a pound to a pound and half. 

This one is a little bigger.  2.5 pounds - Sassy and I caught him in Lake Waco.

This is one of the best reasons to get out - the view!!!

ITS THAT TIME AGAIN!!!!

Leni and I have had the opportunity to put on a couple of fun fish fry's - one at the Advocacy Center in Waco and one at a great Church in Robinson.

These guys are watching a catfishing ARTIST in action!  Not only do Rick and I have to cook great fish - We have to hold off the local guys from sampling all of the food before it gets inside the Church!  This was FUN FRY!
