THE DENTIST checks out a Wide Mouth!!!

This is my son-in law Nick. He and Ashley came up from San Antonio for a weekend full of BIG WIN'S - THE RANGERS, THE BEARS (Baylor) and this big Bass! Nick caught him on a Shad - he then examined three of the four wisdom teeth left in the fishes mouth and then gave him a reprieve.

Sassy on the HUNT...

This is Sassy waiting for me to get her boat ready... she is a very good leader - Sas hardly says anything and gets me to respond to everything... my next goal - get Sas to teach Leni her leardership ways...
I am sure that she would win an award for her sniffing ability - she just does not want to go public right now...
Here is the result of that sniffer Sas has... two big ones - one was eight pounds and the other was eleven. I am guessing this cooler weather is helping Sassy's nose work better!

This morning Sas and I caught 340 FISH!!!!!

Shad - BUT, HEY - they are fish!!!!
How could a face like this tell a fib?
OR WHAT ABOUT THIS FACE...
Would you believe an eleven pounder?

You Never Know...

You never know what your going to catch on our fishing trips... Sas and I saw this hot air balloon (Curves - hot air balloon) flying over the lake early this morning...
Sometimes you get the PERFECT conditions to be on the lake...
And it is ALWAYS perfect to have your friend with you on fishing trips...

INCREDIBLE DAY!

You would think that ANY SMART person would NOT try and fish during HORRIBLE WINDY DAYS - but, NO not us... Rick and I (Sassy stayed home) weathered the conditions and came out with 22 BIG ONES! Seven and half pounds of filets... It was GREAT!

New Motor! - More Sunsets!

Not sure how it happened - BUT, here it is the replacement for the kEvinrude - a Yamaha 50hp. My friends at Prikryl Marine - here in Waco helped me out. She is a beauty! Quiet and very powerful (for my YACHT)!Here is a good sized cat.I KNOW! I KNOW! Too many sun sets... Seems like each one is a different gift from above!

Don't Sweat the Small Stuff...

Some of you will understand the following - others will learn... While crossing the Lake - the Compression in my kEvinrude motor ran out and Sassy and I SLOWLY made it to the dock - she was not scared - I was concerned. SO, the catfish are on break until this is problem is solved.
I guess this sums it up for me... BE THANKFUL AND FISH WHEN YOU CAN! Someone once said: When we accept tough jobs as a challenge to our ability and wade into them with joy and enthusiasm, miracles can happen.

Habitat for Humanity - FISH FRY!!!!

The Catering Division of TIGHTLINE FISHING... it was our pleasure to serve up supporters for the Waco Habitat for Humanity... What an awesome Christian group... besides meals and clothing and many other things - this group of outstanding people actually build houses and hope for many Central Texas residence... AND - I am proud to say Leni is one of the "hands on builders" along with many of our Little Caesars staff members - that help make a BIG difference here in Waco!!!
These were GREAT - but...
I PROMISE YOU WILL NEVER taste a better CatFish than this - Our TightLine recipe is handed down by my Grandma and guarded better than any Dallas Cowboy's opponents end zone...
Wes added a great touch to the organization of our Motley Crew...
Me-Rick and Wes... we barely stayed out of trouble AND had a lot of fun!

Big One & Along Came A Spider...

Here is a picture of a 18 pounder - YES, he got a reprieve!!!Contrary to what my little sister says about me, I am NOT afraid of spiders... One of the COOLEST things about fishing...the scenery - This is a spider with the sunset in the background... AWESOME!
